On a cold, January night, a presumably dead Edgar Allan Poe barges in to the bedroom of poet Emily Dickinson, dragging his coffin with him. The frantic Poe has miraculously escaped death but is hiding from his doppelganger, who seeks his life.

Joseph McDonough is a playwright with varied interests and experiences. His plays include Wayfarer’s Rest, One, Travels of Angelica and Stone My Heart as well as adaptations, plays for young audiences, and musicals with composer/lyricist David Kisor. He has twice won the Mickey Kaplan New American Play Prize and has long been associated with Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park where many of his plays received their world premieres. His plays have been produced and developed at numerous theatres around the country and several are published by Playscripts and Theatrical Rights Worldwide. He is a proud member of New River Dramatists and the Dramatists Guild. Joe is represented by Bret Adams LTD Artists Agency in New York.
